The Gloucestershire village of Blockley is this month's destination. Seen here is one of the larger houses, set by the side of the road. It is a small sweet place, nestled amongst Cotswold hills, with a pub run by Mr and Mrs Shakespeare. (Not quite as good as Worcester, which had William Shakespeare for Mayor. He attended the launch event of a bridge widening in 1931. It must be difficult being called Shakespeare sometimes.) There is not really much else to say about Blockley, except to remark that on a nice sunny day it is a good place to amble over to and admire the landscape along the way. |
